With over 12 years of experience, Chandra Harkins is highly capable of developing innovative public relations concepts and programs that will help your organization achieve its objective of reaching niche markets (African American/Latino). Her areas of expertise include Marketing, Public Relations, Professional Writing, Project Management, Program and Concept Design, and Events Planning. She holds a BBA in Marketing Management and an MS in Leadership and Policy Studies, both acquired from the University of Memphis.
Some of her accomplishments include, but are not limited to, working on a several promotional events and initiatives with former employer, Clear Channel Communications such as WDIA's 50th Anniversary Banquet, Smooth 101.1's One Year Anniversary Celebration, co-producing the commemorative publication, Pacesetters. In addition, she has worked on several other projects such as Grace Girls' Summit during 2004's Sisterhood Showcase hosted by Grace Magazine as well as served on two hosting committees for the Urban Music Forum sponsored by the National Association for Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS)-Memphis chapter. She also coordinated AutoZone's Vendor Sales Summit for 2006; a company event that draws over 600 company vendors for one full day of general sessions and seminars.
Using compelling concepts and intertwining unique elements for each project, Chandra's goal is to connect major companies with smaller, mid sized minority businesses and consumer markets. In establishing a relationship with these markets, these companies can expect a greater return on investment, increase their brand loyalty and impact profit margins.
Last, but not least, Chandra is also a media personality known as Chandra Kamaria. Through this avenue, she dedicates herself to cultural education, enrichment, and developing platforms for underserved market segments.
